Begin With Entryways

Lay washable, anti-slip foot mats—not just at the main door, but in every high-traffic nook. In rurban homes, where outdoor and garden areas are more accessible, mats help keep the indoors clean and prevent slips when shoes (and guests) track in rain.

Keep The Outdoor Furniture Covered

Outdoor seating, swings, or balcony daybeds often take the hit of the season. Whenever not in use, cover these with weatherproof, UV-protected covers. This prevents water damage, extends furniture life, and saves the unwelcome surprise of mildew when drier days return.

Check Wood and Wardrobes

Humidity loves wood. To protect cupboards, wardrobes, and wooden shelves, tuck in drying agents like silica gel packs or even kitchen salt in small porous bags.
